Meet Forkbearder Palle

Welcome to the team Palle! Can you give a brief intro to yourself?

Hi, I’m Palle and the Chief Commercial Officer at Forkbeard. Born and raised in Asker, Norway and where we live with our two teenage kids and our dog. I have also spent 7 years in Chicago studying and starting out my career in sales.

What did you do before you started working at Forkbeard and how does this experience benefit your current role?

I came from a sales and marketing director role in a scale-up in the cyber security world, and prior to that held many different roles in a global research and advisory company.

I’ve been working on the commercial side of businesses throughout my entire career. When I moved into management, I have been focusing on building successful teams and developing people. I’m looking forward to applying my knowledge together with the bright minds at Forkbeard to rollout our indoor-GPS-like solution globally.

What drew you to Forkbeard?

I have always been interested in technology and working with the applications of it. Meeting an organization with such skilled engineers and technologists who had developed some groundbreaking technology got me curious. Understanding how we can assist a huge number of companies with insights into how people move and help them in finding their way and assets indoors, was what really fueled my interest in Forkbeard

What’s the best thing about working at Forkbeard?

Highly skilled colleagues who work every day at the forefront of indoor position technology, developing great solutions. In addition, we have a great company culture with a lot of energy, teamwork, and room for fun.

What does your typical day look like at Forkbeard?

A lot of communication and activities, internally and with customers and partners. No two days are alike, just the way I like it.

How will Forkbeard help you with both your personal and professional development?

In a scale-up you are always challenged professionally. I get involved in many different activities and need to be able to learn fast.

What’s the best place on earth?

Our cabin at Sjusjøen close to Lillehammer. There you can be active no matter what season it is. Great cross-country skiing in the winter, great mountain biking and hiking in the summer. Also a great place to just relax.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

We are quite an active family so there is always something going on – right now I have started to prepare for a few mountain bike races.
