Karsten, who are you?
I am a Senior Engineer at Forkbeard.
What did you do before you started working at Forkbeard and how does this experience benefit your current role?
I worked at Sonitor, the mother company, before joining Forkbeard. I did hardware development and production engineering at Sonitor and do the same now at Forkbeard.
What drew you to Forkbeard?
Forkbeard’s idea of bringing the GPS revolution indoors is what got me excited. So when I got the offer I accepted it.
What’s the best thing about working at Forkbeard?
The work at Forkbeard is really diverse. Therefore, I would say the variety of tasks is what keeps me here.
What does your typical day look like at Forkbeard?
There is no typical day. But one thing that characterizes most of my days is creativity and (engineering) problem solving.
How will Forkbeard help you with both your personal and professional development?
For an engineer the most important parts are the availability of tools and equipment. There Forkbeard has always been able to accommodate my requests, that I really appreciate. As well as the fact, things are put back in their place. Might sound funny, but it’s great when you don’t have to search for things.
What’s the coolest place you’ve traveled to?
The coolest place I have traveled to is Trolltindan in Romsdalen. It has a dramatic landscape as you can see in the picture.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
When I am not working I enjoy exercising, cycling, hiking watching movies or simply cuddling with my cats.
